Providing countywide law enforcement, public safety, emergency response support, and community protection throughout Greene County.
Purpose
To preserve and strengthen the values of service, community, and public safety that define the Oconee area by supporting local first responders, community programs, and charitable initiatives that improve the lives of residents.
Serving Those Who Serve
The Deputy Fund is a charitable account created to assist employees of both the Greene County Sheriff's Office and the Eatonton Police Department who are experiencing unforeseen hardships. This fund relies entirely on donations for its support. When an employee in need is identified, a private meeting is held to gather details and assess their specific requirements. After a final review by either the Sheriff of Greene County or the Chief of the Eatonton Police, funds are provided to the employee.
