I deeply respect these brave individuals who put their lives on the line every day, and I understand the mental and emotional challenges they face. To me, it’s our duty as citizens to thank them by offering the extra support they need most. HONOR is a non-profit that I believe anyone can get behind because first responders have our back, and I’m proud to be there for them in return.

With my brother serving our hometown in Florida as a police officer, I have seen the courage, sacrifice, and devotion it takes to protect and support others. His example inspires me to advocate for those who risk their lives every day. I am proud to bring my perspective and gratitude to this role, recognizing that behind every uniform is a family, a story, and a profound sense of responsibility to the community. It is a privilege to celebrate and support the heroes who strengthen our communities.

I have had the pleasure and joy of being a small part of HONOR since the inaugural event in 2020. Year after year, this event has continued to break records, resulting in an even greater impact on the lives of those who deserve it. But what moves me most is the stories and knowing that people’s lives are lifted because someone finally said, “We see you. We appreciate you!"

He puts on the uniform every day and chooses service over comfort and courage over fear. HONOR allows me to give back to people like him who quietly carry the weight of protecting others.

To me, honor means recognizing the people who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others, and understanding that their sacrifice extends far beyond the hours they spend in uniform.
As the wife of a police officer, I have seen firsthand the dedication, long hours, personal sacrifices, and emotional weight that come with this calling. I understand that behind every badge is a person who misses holidays, family moments, sleep, and time at home. They carry experiences and traumas that most of us will never see or fully understand, yet they continue to show up, serve their communities, and put others before themselves.
Seeing the sacrifice and acknowledging the dedication, it's vital to make sure those who serve know they are supported and appreciated. Our first responders give so much of themselves to our communities. They deserve more than our gratitude, they deserve to be celebrated, recognized, and reminded that their service matters and that they do not stand alone.
